Very nice beer garden and a wonderful all-round view.

We ate in the beer garden with self-service. Unfortunately, you had to look for the waitress at the kiosk before you could place your order. The meal was ready quite quickly. The onion roast was very tasty, the meat excellent. Maultaschen with salad can also be recommended. Very nice location with a view of the Asperg area.

Very, very good cuisine, but not prepared for the rush of visitors today (04.09.2020). Food portions were minimized, but still sold at the normal price. Very ambitious staff, but not prepared for the rush of guests. I am here often. Sensational view and pleasant guests. There is no additional lighting outside. (no candles or lanterns on the tables). Would be easy to fix zi. Eating in the dark with mobile phone flashlights absolutely NO GO!

Rating for the beer garden: The first star deduction is due to the long waiting time. If you stand in line for over 15 minutes to get your drink and to be able to order something, that's too long. Especially when only 6 people are standing in front of you. The second star deduction is for beer that is too warm. The wheat beer from the bottle is nice and cold. Unfortunately not the “half” from the barrel. Too bad. Asphalt with fried potatoes, sausage salad and French fries for the little one were very tasty. So great food, drinks 50:50, service in the beer garden ...

Here my daughter's wedding was celebrated in a small group, we were all very satisfied, the food was very delicious, it comes from the Adler restaurant in Asperg, for small celebrations it is very nice up there, clear weather should go along, thanks for the decoration and the very nice and courteous staff ✔✔✔✔✔

Nice place and delicious food.

Very nice beer garden (view - sundowner). Miserable price-performance ratio € 9.80 for a half-full plate of Gaisburg march, lower middle class in terms of taste, I won't go there anymore.

Great ambience. Especially in summer great because you can enjoy the view.

A very good hotel

We were invited to a birthday party with 35 people. The menu was impeccable. The small salad plate turned on very well. Pork loin and small roast roast just right, potato balls, spaetzle, vegetables, everything was served hot. The service made at no time a stressed impression. After a reasonable break, there was still a delicious dessert buffet. After this good experience, we will certainly come again. In the summer you can also sit outside very nicely.

Delicious. The bread as a starter and (cheese) spaetzle are delicious. Also the Schnitzel was good. Fast and nice service. Food was done very quickly. Only the chairs in soft pink, do not match the old-fashioned atmosphere.

Delicious onion roast and good Swabian cuisine, friendly and attentive service. The ambience is very nice in the old gatehouse of the fortress. You have a great view.

The scenery from the hill is very pleasant to watch the sunset when there is a mood that gives people peace. The wines were nice. Food was average. I have eaten much better places in Germany. The inside of the restaurant is not very big. The weather is nice and the conversation with the friends sit outside.

A reservation is hard to get around, but it's worth it! Good home cooking in a great atmosphere on top of the mountain. Service is nice and accommodating. After dinner you can enjoy the view with a relaxed walk.

Up on the Hohenasperg. We enjoyed very tasty onion roast beef. Very tender, tasty sauce and very good spaetzle. A quarter of Swabian wine goes with it. From up there you have a fantastic view for sunsets. From the parking lot it is about 300 meters up the mountain.

Very nice and quiet location. We celebrated a birthday here and everything was good. For many people, however, the little room becomes a bit stuffy, but the "terrace" is all the more beautiful for that. There are deductions because the price level is far too high for the service received. Pity!
